This building is huge...you need a map to get around. The car show was amazing with lots of space to walk without feeling crowded. We took a ferry from Battery Park which let us off just behind the Javits Center. The front lobby is all glass with impressive architecture and lots of light. We had attended a Dental Convention here... More

Massive space. Never feel crowded. Car show was amazing. Clean and well ventilated. Elevators are very small but escalator service adequate. Easy to access but off the subway line. Would have liked Hillary to have broken the glass ceiling here where there is a huge glass ceiling. A New York gem.

I went there for the car show and had a good time. It is always very clean and everyone is very nice and helpful. Getting there has gotten easier with the 7 train now just across the street. You can also walk there if you take the railroad and walk a few long blocks. They are expanding it I wonder... More

The Davits Center has its ups and downs. The space itself is good. It's clean, orderly and the staff are helpful. The downside is the transportation getting there. That will be changing though in a couple of years when the subway is extended. I walked from Penn Station the other day. You can take a crosstown bus on 34 St.... More

I went here to see two exhibitions. Getting there was easy via subway, and getting out by bus was equally easy. The location is scenic, the architecture of the Center as a whole is beautiful. It is a nice place to visit, even if not attending events there. You can take a walk around the old train yard next door... More

The Javits Center is class for important trade shows. I come here at least once a year. the place is clean, friendly and well operated in general. The only negative is a great food court that is poorly operated at the employee level -- lots of lethargic employees who could care less. Unfortunately, the Starbucks (two locations) within the center... More

The Jacob Javits Convention Center is huge and it is maintained well. It is an easy walk from many hotels near Time Square.

I like the Javitz center.Easy to get in and easy to get out. With a large convention they need to free up the elevators and supply additional port o potties outside.

I attended an event with over 6,000 attendees and think we only occupied about 1/3 of the facility. There was at least one other event happening at the same time, but it never seemed crowded. Make sure you plan sufficient time if you have to walk from one end to the other. The event staff was very nice and layout... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
