It's hard to write up a location for a theater where one just saw a show, for then, inevitably, the impressions are those of a specific play and not the location. If I Forget is an unexpected masterpiece, beautifully staged and played. The poignant drama depicting the challenges of a modern Jewish family is one of the definite successes of... More

Went Sunday to see Love, Love, Love. This theater it located behind the NHL Store and very easy to find (on the street to the left of it). Security will check your bags as you go in. There is one set of stairs that takes you into a small café. Once the theater is open, then you go down a... More

Loved the smallish intimate setting -- was amazed how reasonably priced the orchestra seats were for such a quality production. (We were seated in Rows D and E to the stage right and left and the visibility as well as the ''connection" to the stage was excellent. About the play, Bartlett is a gifted playwright -- just like his Charles... More

Visited this theater for the off-broadway show, The Robber Bridegroom. The show was fantastic but I want to share how intimate the theater is. Any seat is a great seat at this theater. Acoustics were good and staff was accommodating and welcoming. My seat was on the last row on the left side and it was still a good vantage... More

I recently watched a musical in this theatre. I had front mezzanine seats and enjoyed a great view. This is a rather modern theatre without classic embellishments. Seats were comfortable. However, when entering you need to walk down many steps to get to the seating areas. There is an elevator but I did not use it. The entrance foyer is... More

Laura Pels Theater is part of the Roundabout Theater Company, a fantastic subscription theater group in NYC. This small theater has had a wonderful track record of performances and the best part is there really isn't a poor seat in the house. We have sat in the back, in the front, and in the middle and we have always been... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
