For $3 you could act like a kid again and enjoy the loud organ music and rhythm of the horses. The decor on the carousel is a bit weird, but the horses are generally well maintained.

The Friedsam Memorial Carousel has 2 names, the other being Central Park Carousel. It has an entry too, with far more reviews on it. This is a very worthwhile carousel to see and ride. In fact, with the large size and fierceness of the horses,...More

This is a Stein and Goldstein carousel, which means the horses are bigger and more ferocious looking than normal. The horses were beautiful, even if they were difficult to climb. We especially liked the chariots being pulled by horses (the only ones on this carousel...More

This carousel is amazing, 4 adults went on and it was like re living your childhood, very reasonable price and quite a long ride. If you visit the park you can't leave without a go. 👍🎠🇺🇸🌳

The carousel is covered and is $3 per rider. Children under five must ride with an adult who must also get a ticket. It lasts several minutes and a photographer is onboard. You can buy the photo later if you want. My kids enjoyed it....More

I'm 46 and LOVE a carousel! I forced my husband onto this but we both loved it. It's so beautifully carved and painted, and actually goes quite fast . Go what ever age and enjoy its $3 a ride

Took my son here for the experience. Quick to buy a ticket. Nice surroundings in the park. Signage that makes it easy to find. many kids with big smiles on their faces!

When i saw a big crowd of kids i realised there has to be something fun for them. Trump's carousel is a small carousel in a built up sheltered space. Easily accessible

I can think of many worse ways to spend $3 in NYC. The kids begged to go on the carousel and actually had a blast. It's a simple carousel, but they really enjoyed it because it was in the heart of Central Park and a...More

The fact that I had to pay an additional $3 to stand next to my not even two year old while she rode this is ridiculous. Trump is netting nearly a $90k per month profit on this thing already. That said, it's a great carousel....More

Good question. I would call it oompa music but they could be disguised waltzes.

According to NYCTourist, the carousel is open daily from April until October from 10am to 6pm, weather permitting. If it is raining, it likely won't be open, so get info from the telephone number below before making the trip... More
