We enjoyed our visit but feel like we only need to go once. It is a great place for a date. Inside it is dark and candlelit. We needed to use our phone flashlights to read the menu. Our waiter was lovely and helped us make a decision on which champagne to try. We were given the opportunity to try something before committing. All the choices were explained and there was no pressure to buy more expensive items. Our receipt says “cashier: Yusuf” but I am not sure if that is also our waiter’s name. Whoever he was… he was great. The bar is small so I my suggestion would be to definitely call ahead for a table and inquire if there are private parties booked. When we visited Flute there were several private parties and only a few tables for others. I had hoped to sit at the bar but I don’t think that is an option. Also, due to the private parties we were told the kitchen was too busy with them to make our appetizers. So…no food for us. Also, I am a bit of a glassware snob and would have liked higher end glassware, esp. at some of the prices per glass. Very good vibe. Service was a bit lacking with little information and little attention being paid to the guests. But if you are looking for a romantic place to have a drink and imagine yourself in the 1920s ... this could be your space. Just don't expect a second round of drinks, or to order food....…

We went to Flute Bar before going to Nobu for dinner. We each had a flight of champagne. Our server was very well versed in the flights and gave us some valuable information. The place was downstairs from the street, kind of dark and mysterious! It really did remind me of the Speakeasy that it is. I would strongly recommend checking it out! The fruit/cheese plate was great as our appetizer prior to going to dinner.…

Live jazz on Wednesdays, dj on the weekends. No cover. Champagne, cocktails, and a handful (literally five) of respectable beers. And though not a “restaurant”, a sizable nice menu. Fairly small, dark, with intimate nooks for relative privacy - cozy. Saw its sign and stairway down to it’s basement level after 1a on a Fri. and popped in to look and had a beer. I learned the place had been booked for a private party that had ended earlier, and it had a sparse crowd, making it very appealing and enjoyable for me. I will remember it and return.…

Yes....bought a Groupon and often this leads to second rate service but YOU as a business offers this because you need to get bums on seats so why not treat YOUR GUESTS well??? The Easren European lady who served us was sooooo disinterested and totally ruined the experience for both of us. There was a gentleman who works there who was polite and curteous, for that we thank you. All of this was after being sent away from the venue the night before due to a private function, despite having made a booking. Enough said, never again. …
