What an amazing time!! Okay, my parents were suprising me with an evening at the Minskoff Theatre to watch the show, which i was very unaware of. So when I found out I was very excited. My brother on the other hand (14) was not so happy about it. He thought it was going to be too much for kids... More

This is one show you must see. The production value is incredible. Stunning, really. The music is gorgeous, the vocals spot on, especially the harmonies. The cast is superb, from the young Simba to the nasty Scar. If children bug you, skip the matinee however.

Really impressed with costumes to portray the various animals. Music was awesome. We sat in the last row of the balcony and it far exceeded our expectations. The sound and view were awesome from there. Certainly gave us the sense that there is no poor seat in the house.

This is a must see musical for all ages while you are in NYC. My husband, I and 4 kids aged from 6 years to 15 years were in awe of this magical performance. The whole week we were in NYC there were no discounted tickets available - which shows how popular it is. Maybe purchase tickets in advance. Also... More

I am not really a musical fan. So my opinion here should not count much. But may be this musical is a muss do in NYC. If you are not the musical typ I would not go.

I remember when I saw the cartoon the Lion King, the opening scene seemed so amazing. This was better! I got the tickets on a whim after making the trip to NYC specifically to see the Book of Mormon. But, I figured, I'll be there for two days, may as well see two shows. I ended up seeing them both... More

The Lion King but not as you saw it on film. Brilliant costumes, great performances. The theatre is a nice size that it makes the experience quite intimate. The start of the show was amazing and you will love it. Show is split into two halves with a 15 min intermission. Great performances of much loved songs and some new... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
