Short hike!

This is the third time we've enjoyed hiking this short trail to the falls! God's nature is so enjoyable!

This park has a lot to offer, depending on your interests. There are miles of trails, campsites and more secluded areas, but this review is based solely on the beach areas and the trails leading to the falls. I grew up in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, so admittedly, I am spoiled when it comes to the great outdoors. I... More

This State Park is huge. It has entrances on the Eastern and Northern sides and costs $3 for MD cars and $5 for out of state cars on the honor system. It can be a bit confusing trying to figure out where you want to go and while they do a decent job with signs it is still a little... More

Seeing this never grows old. I visit every time I get the chance. There is no parking. You must hike from the visitor center but I must say it is an easy and relaxing hike.

Must see. Go to the aviary. It is wonderful there. the rangers are friendly and knowledgeable. There are wonderful places to have a quiet picnic.

I took my son to this hike and he enjoyed every single step. He had a great time together the views, the waterfalls, everything conspires to make your day amazing.

I love the north side of the lake, because it is quieter. Simply stunning view everywhere! I did one hike on a Sunday, I recommend early or during the week. Sundays were very crowded.

We arrived here late on New Years Day with just an hour of daylight left so chose to hike the 1 mile Lower Falls Trail. Short, but very sweet -a beautiful, easy trail through some cool rock formations to the Falls. Definitely plan on coming back to do some of the longer, more challenging trails.

Looking for a fall drive, we were in this area and drove through this park. At the end of Oct. it seemed their season was slowing down. Beautiful drive for fall colors the day we were there. Camping, hiking, etc. available in season!

Camped this past weekend at Addison Run in the Houck Area. The sites were perfect for tent camping – clean and nicely spaced. Addison Run costs a little more, but it has electricity, a shelf for your pots and pans and the fire rings have grills. The bath house sits in the middle of the sites and so is convenient... More
