This was a great hike with a good trail, but in January there is no water coming from the falls. The road in to the trail head could require 4 wheel drive in snow conditions although we had only 2 wheel drive on a good...More

The water comes from Navajo lake, it drains through a lava tube, very cool. Depending on the time of year and water level in Navajo, it cranks sometimes.

Cascade Falls is not like any waterfall we have seen. The Falls is coming right out of the rock on a vertical escarpment! Never seen anything like it. The water drops off the edge with the falls maybe 12 feet, followed by the water rapidly...More

The trail is rated as "easy" and "child friendly" - not in my opinion - I wouldn't take a child under 10-ish. The trail is very steep in areas and, probably due to the wet winter, there are areas where rocky debris covers the trail...More

The hike is maybe 2 miles round trip, and fairly easy. With children it is a little treacherous in some spots. That is, they could fall down the ledge since there is no rail. The falls are like any other, but it us neat that...More

This is a short hike with some great rewards for not-a-lot of effort. The views to the south show the drainage into Zion National Park in the distance. The falls are interesting, but nothing spectacular. Trail is OK for kids, but keep close watch toward...More

This is a relatively short hike with not much elevation change, but It is a hike. Decent shoes (not ballet flats or flip flops) are probably a good idea, and a hiking stick for the narrow bits. The trail is eroded in some places. Once...More

A must see attraction! Not an extremely easy walk but stay the path and you are fine. The beauty is breathtaking! A great year for the falls with all the snow and rain. Take in the small wet areas where water has seeped through the...More

We were staying in the area for a week so were looking for a few small things close to the cabin. Cascade Falls was a wonderful afternoon. The views are nice, the path has steps in the steeper parts. The falls are unique coming straight...More

The Cascade Falls Trail is one mile from the Trailhead along a bench that overlooks Zion National Park in the distance. It is an easy trail and I saw many children on it. I would guess the total elevation rise and fall is 250 feet...More

There is a ranger station just as you turn off to go into the area where there are several opportunities for hikes. The drive to the parking for the trailhead is mostly gravel and dirt so if it has rained, there may be mud... More

First, get yourself to Navajo Lake, south of Highway 14. You will be on a dirt road once you leave the highway, on the east side of the lake. When the dirt road splits, don't turn west to go along the lake shore, but keep... More
