Greek Revival architecture of the 19th Century blends beautifully with the "Old Southern" atmosphere of the lawn and river views. A mix of well-maintained History and contemporary functionality blend well. Have visited many times including original "get acquainted" tour to annual Christmas concerts. A lovely...More

We visited the museum on May 17th. We parked the car at the Convention Garage (Main St & 2nd). There is no admission fee. There are different exhibitions: the history of the building, gowns of the First Ladies, the governors, political history of Arkansas and...More

Really cool old piece of Arkansas history, located in a great area in downtown Little Rock. I've attended events there and catered an event there, always a nice place to be!

It had been years since I and my wife had visited the Old State House. They had an exhibit from U of A. Cabinet of Curiosities. What a great exhibit. Must see when in Central Arkansas. Great history and not far from the River Market..

I recently visited the Old State House Museum. I had not been there since I was in elementary school. I don't think I really appreciated the wonderful collection when I was younger, but I certainly do now. This is an Arkansas treasure.

The brochure does not emphasize that this is NOT simply a refurbished Old Statehouse, it is a museum in it's own right. Yes, there is a detailed history of the early statehood, "first families of Arkansas" and memorabilia of many Arkansas governors. There is also...More

The building, grounds and location are wonderful. Spend an afternoon walking the place, eating lunch, enjoy the river and just relax. It is a wonderful place with interesting architecture and displays. Bring your camera and take pictures.

This is the location of the first state Capitol in Arkansas. The grounds are beautiful and so is the old building. Inside you can find exhibits about the history of the state, all about the governors of the state, and gowns of the First Ladies...More
