I've taken the legal tour of Ventura presented by Mr. Senate, which includes history about Ventura's own Erle Stanley Gardner. The tour is informative and entertaining. The building in beautiful and a great city treasure.

This is a very nice building where you can get in and enjoy the marbled floors and the tinted windows. They have arts on display on the second floor. Behind the city hall is the botanical gardens where you can go hiking.

The art work on the walls is fantastic as is the tile work & stained glass windows. Walk or elevator to very top for a wonderful view of Santa Barbara.

This building has been the setting for some movies, "Chinatown" being one. The lovely marble inside and the detailed carvings outside the building show its history. A few years ago I went on a ghost tour that included this building. Spooky!

Lining the halls of this classic city hall are works of various local artists. A wide variety of artistic styles and mediums are on display. A great place to admire art. Lots of parking, and it is, of course, free!

Get a docent to take you around. Lovely architecture and rooms. A highlight of Ventura. Of another age.

We spent 30 minutes walking the marble halls and reading about the City Hall and its history. If it is a hot day this would be a place to cool off and there are public restrooms available.

A few years ago I have a ghost tour in this city hall, and so was able to see much more of the building than the usual hall visitor. The City Hall is filled with lovely white marble, curving majestic stairways, and the weight of...More
