This museum is a perfect combination of inside and outside exhibits. The recreation of the army camp, tobacco farm and demonstration of firing cannon are very well done. Inside the exhibits are equally good, many of whom are interactive.

We loved this museum! Don't miss the two movies! Lots of interactive things for kids. There is also a revolutionary encampment outside with demonstrations of cooking, shooting and other activities.

Effective combination of indoor and outdoor exhibits exploring the American Revolution with increased attention to Native American and African American voices. Large physical space with attractive displays and technology features--but fewer artifacts than expected. Highlights include multiple-dimension Siege Theater, various more interactive features in exhibits...More

The Jamestown Settlement and the Museum at Yorktown are operated by the same non profit and they do an outstanding job at both. The American Revolution Museum is my first choice for both indoor and outdoor activities. If... More

There all good. But the Yorktown Revolutionary Museum just reopened this spring with a new building and it's much larger than the old building. It has a cafe inside, and your only a mile away from the Yorktown beach. There... More
