There's lots to see at the Yorktown Revolution Museum. A really good museum with varios interactive bits and some good movies, the Reolution-era farm, the Powhatan Village, the Jamestown ships (OK- they are modern copies but still interesting). Easy to spend a good few hours and learn a lot. Indoor stuff if the weather isn't good. It's a little way... More

There are two parts to see at Yorktown. One is the national park site that is the battlefield. This is a separate site with a new building and exhibits that far surpass the national park exhibits. Interesting multimedia components. Great for all ages. Do this before you go see the battlefield.

We spent an afternoon on Thanksgiving weekend in this new and very exciting museum. The artifacts are first quality and the staff and Reenactors are very knowledgeable and incredibly enthusiastic about their work. I would most highly recommend this museum for a family visiting and to allow at least a half a day to tour both the museum inside and... More

We learned a lot. Museum has only been open a short time and they did a great job. The outdoor exhibit area is still construction, but well with the visit.

We spent 4 1/2 hours in the new American Revolution Museum and could have spent 2-3 days. We started with a half hour talk beginning with The French and Indian War (Seven Years War), the various tax acts as a result of it and then what led to the Amercian Revolution through to the British defeat at Yorktown. You can... More

Went with my 14-year old daughter and was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of great historical information displayed on the inside of the museum. Good movies as well. But it's the historical area that really surprises. The day we went they had just slaughtered two pigs and were butchering them right there. They showed us how the original settlers saved and prepared... More

A Museum depicting the Seige of Yorktown and Surrender of Cornwallis. There is a very good Movie Theater and the Movie issort of like an IMax theater , wraps partially around. You have a 3D type feeling with sights, sounds, vibrations, and various odors. It's very good. The encampment is under contruction but you may visit it now. It will... More

Huge place that offers much more History facts/ displays/ films than you would think from outside of place.Nice gift shop too; with exception of too many things made in other countries with a very high price. Not paying $12.99 for a coffee mug.

Small interactive museum, but worth a stop. There is a shuttle to the downtown/ Riverwalk area and it's a great starting point to the battlefield drive.
