I decided to take my dog out to the battlefield for a walk and enjoy the last of the fall leaves. When we left our house, about 30 minutes away, it was still raining. When we arrived it had slowed to a drizzle but this...More

The park is located in a beautiful rural area. It's a bit off the main road, but definitely worth your time, especially if you like history. The National Park Service rangers and the volunteers that run the place were all very friendly, answered all my...More

This is a beautiful place for the history lover to explore. A 3 mile loop through beautiful woods with areas that were important in the war marked for info. There's a cabin from the late 1800's. The visitor center has a lot of artifacts and...More

The battlefield is easy to tour and the trail is easy to follow. The staff were friendly and helpful. The markers make it easy to understand the battle and what occurred during the battle of Cowpens.

Lots of history, well maintained. A frequently visited site for the Fort Gordon Command And General Staff Officer Course. Read up on the battle prior to going... very enjoyable.

Nice park. It has a gift shop and museum. You can drive through the park and look at cabins and memorials of the battles. There are also flat trails to walk and bike on. Fairly low-key but we enjoyed it.

Cowpens is best experienced by getting out on the battlefield. The visitor center has a small museum with a film that should not be missed, but you really need to walk the trail. We had just come from Kings Mountain National Military Park where we...More

It's hard to find anything on the Revolutionary War anymore since it occurred so long ago so this was such pleasurable find. I suggest watching the 18 minute video before hitting the 1 mile walking trail. Makes the trail more understandable and just throws everything...More
