We live in northern Florida and absolutely love coming to this tranquil and beautiful campground. The spaces are quite large and there are many hiking trails through pines and palmettos or through forested hammocks. There's fishing and boating on the river, a nature center, frequent group activities and miniature golf. We enjoy going into town and visiting local restaurants. Our... More

We discovered Crooked River SP just last week when exploring the area and booked a couple of nights online for our RV this week. Unfortunately you cannot reserve a specific site and have to choose from what is available when you check in however it was no problem for us mid-week and we found just what we wanted. The weather... This is one of GA's most popular parks, the park is large and well laid out, there are 62 camping sites with water and electric at each site. Two clean bath houses, paved roads with gravel sites, table, fire ring and most are very level. No problems for big rigs, many pull through sites, all sites are good size, most... More

Stopped here on our way back home. Lovely state park with picnic areas, camping, cabins and hiking trails. Entrance fee of $5 is required. Nice hiking trails for Bird watching. Quiet with a lovely view of the river. Picnic area has flush toilets.

The park is beautiful and we'll maintained. You have to pay an entrance fee ($5 Georgia residents, $7 otherwise). It's worth it. The park is big. The cottages area is beautiful. We walked the trail to the observation deck - short walk to a platform that overlooks the river - and some of its inhabitants, like herons and ibises. Our... More

Great for camping even if the sites are a bit close together. Our only problem was the venting from the septic system blowing over our camp.

We stayed at Crooked River State Park for a couple of nights (would've been 3 but the rain and gnats ran us off the last night!). What a nice place...aside from the gnats. Huge campsites, shade trees, nice walking trails, paved roads, and river front views. No campsites are actually on the river although 4-5 sites are real close (look... More

The staff was very helpful. There are many trails to choose from, all of which are kept clean and clear of debris. There's even mini golf!

My husband and I recently drove through Crooked River State Park. We stopped at a couple of places to walk a bit, but we didn't take any of the long trails. It's a pretty area!
