Had a nice visit . most items were donations, some very nice sets. Displays were set up nicely. This is a volunteer setup and has some very dedicated members I am sure.

The periscope was fun, the video educational. The history of the development of submarines was very good. If there's a submarine sailor in your group, the photos probably would be more meaningful.

A great collection for Submarine memorabilia with excellent displays of artifacts and a file of virtually all of the war patrol reports from all of the Submarines of World War II. A short drive from Interstate 95 or from the Kings Bay Submarine Base near the Florida-Georgia Border.

Well....someone did and .it is an interesting & bizarre assortment of any & everything to do w/ subs--and fitting as close to King's Bay as it is. Lots of memorabilia of submarines including a history of the underwater craft. It is not necessarily something I would put on my "bucket list" but an interesting way to spend a couple of... More

the St. Marys Submarine Museum is like no other you could visit. It has an incredible display of our nation's submarine force memorabilia and is uniquely set in the town that supports the Naval Base Kings Bay. Of particular note are the models on display and the fully functioning periscope. You cannot go wrong by including a visit to this... More

The museum is small and charges a small entry fee. All of the equipment, plaques memorabilia, etc we displayed in very small display cases. The reason I scored this museum high is because of all places we've visited together this museum resulted in more dialog between my husband (retired Navy) and myself about life aboard a submarine. We were also... More

This was my first visit to a submarine museum. There is a lot to see but I wish there had been more on the history of subs. I did find it enjoyable and interesting.

This is a fabulous exhibit of the submariner's history. It is located right in downtown St. Mary's on the waterfront. You'll even have the opportunity to use the periscope within the museum to get a glimpse of the view you would see if you were several feet underwater in a submarine. The staff is extremely friendly and informative. Keith, a... More
