Every aviation buff must visit this museum of US Air Force air and space craft. On a par with Udvar Hazy, only all military aircraft. The highlight is the sole surviving example of the XB 70 Valkyrie, a Mach 3 bomber that never went into production, and indeed, never flew at it's maximum design speed (as far as we know).

This place is outstanding! It is the oldest and biggest air force museum of the world. There are hundreds of airplanes from WWI to modern age. Absolutely recommend for family with kids. The museum is free! They should advertise it better since it is a must do!

A very nice museum for the family. It doesn't take more than 2 or 3 hours to see everything. A must see for anyone doing the aviation museums.

We had visited before and been very impressed by the number, size, and quality of exhibits. Our main reason to return was to see 5 of the planes that have served as Air Force One (carrying the presidents). We were not disappointed, what great history (including the plane in which LBJ was sworn in after JFK's assassination). The rest of... More

A John Rowles hit from the 70's , Google it Kids ! I regret that I flew (pun intended) through this separate section to the USAF Museum as on reflection, it deserved a better attention then I gave it. My mistake !! It Showcase's every Aviator (mainly USA) who had an input into the history of flight , from engineers,... More

Located within the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson, this is a very interesting little museum of aviation heroes. We especially enjoyed the video of the Apollo crew and engineers.

This is a great place to take your kids. My son continually wants to go back to visit. If you are a local or visitor, I definitely recommend checking this one out!

This museum has lots of interesting information and exhibits. Of course, the period planes are great, but there is more info about pilots and others. If you enjoy history and aircraft, you will not be disappointed.
