This archeological site does an excellent job of bringing the Fort Ancient culture to life, between the reconstructed village buildings and the indoor exhibit of artifacts excavated at the site. The signage and interpretation are clear and engaging.

Besides the museum, there is a reproduction of the Indian village that was rebuilt over the original site, that you can go through.

Even though I was born in Dayton, this particular historical spot escaped me. My husband is a history aficionado, so we ventured there in the Fall and truly enjoyed the history and interactive displays.

Museum was small , but the kids really enjoyed the outdoor part where you get to see how Indians lived and where the slept Took us 1-2 hours to complete , so it wasn't a full day activity

The parking lot is huge-plenty of room to park an RV.
