The title sums it up. This living farm has animals that you can get up to and pet. They have baby animals normally during the spring. Also at the nature center there is a penny candy store downstairs that is a blast and up stairs there is an interactive classroom and classic play house for kids. Also, on property is... More

Carriage Hill is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon, or take a walk around the lake. The animals, barn and penny candy store bring a time period back to life for a few minutes/

This is a great park especially for kids. Historical farm activities throughout the year provide a neat way for all ages to learn about things like sheep shearing, wool crafting, canning, etc.

This is literally one of my families favorite places to go! We even go in the winter time! We love the farm and seeing the animals. We go down to the creek and the kids romp around in it. Then we walk over to the lake. We have fished in it. We walk around it. We have even walked most... More

Carriage Hill is always a go to for us when we are looking for something fun yet inexpensive to do. You need to make sure you get there early enough to see everything and check the hours online before you go. I made the mistake of thinking they were open until 5 year round and that wasn't the case. Our... More

This park is great for families, hikers and horseback riders. The parks department has done an excellent job. I wish I lived closer and I would go all the time.

Stopped at this park for a stroll with my 2-year old daughter. The park was very clean and peaceful. Walked around the pond, on the trails and docks. We were able to collect acorns, walnut shells, and lots of natural habitat. There were men fishing on the lake. Had a nice relaxing time there.

A great place for all ages. It is a living park. This working farm has many displays with period dressed volunteers explaining the history of each item highlighted. For, example children are permitted to help milk cows during milking time with the help of the volunteer. In other buildings, you may find someone cooking or quilting. If you time it... More
