Very peaceful and solitary surroundings. Beautiful fall colors. Many local dignitaries. A great place to walk and enjoy the outdoors.

Such a historical place in Dayton, Ohio. One day my father and brother and I decided to find the Civil war soldiers. I was very surprised how many were buried there.. It is so peaceful there. The Wright Brothers are buried there along Erma Bomback, Charles Kettering, John Patterson and Col. Deeds. You have to see a memorial titled The... More

Visited to see parents graves. Lots of hills here which I like, but be aware if you are challenged. Upkeep looks real good, it's a challenge to keep up with the digging creatures and fallen branches. The views here of UD and Dayton are pretty, esp. later in the year and in winter. Pretty place, you guys do a good... More

There are loads of 'famous' personalities buried here. Most of them if you are not a local you may not know, but I would imagine that most people venture here to see the Wright Brothers. It is a nice cemetery with many interesting features such as an overlook on Dayton. The mausoleum is quite nice as well. Worth a stop.... More

The Woodland Cemetery is a must see if you're in Dayton. I highly recommend taking a tour to learn more about Dayton's history and the grounds are gorgeous. It's also the highest point with a great view of the city. Perfect for photos too.

This is a beautiful cemetery located in some of the few hills Dayton has to offer. It's very well kept, and there are many historical grave sites.

This was one of the stops on the Dayton Region's Aviation Places tour,it is a very big cemetery where the Wright brothers are buried here. We didn't spend to much time here as we were on the tour.

If you only have a short time to visit Dayton, Woodland Cemetery offers a surprising sample of the culture, history, art, and natural beauty the gem city has to offer. A free tour is definitely worth your time because the cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic places and is a National Aviation Heritage Area. Or, at least... More

First of all, I must admit, that I love cemeteries! My daughters have probably seen more cemeteries than most adults as we usually stop and see at least one one on every family vacation. We have seen some great ones and some that were not so great, large ones and small family plots. This one was an extremely large one... More
