We also walked the nature trail. Worth the 1 hour of your time for some history of the area. Staff was very nice and they work hard to keep the mosquitoes in check.

You get the opportunity to step back in time to when the first Spanish settlers came to Florida and get a sense for how they lived and what they found. An enjoyable way to spend an afternoon, especially with young (middle school) children.

This park is very well-maintained and is an excellent place to enjoy history and beautiful scenery combined! The park staff are courteous and helpful. It is also pet friendly, so you can enjoy a beautiful walk with your pet.

We like to walk the trail here. Views of the water and a small beach. Several historical markers and interpretive displays. Nice clean and quiet place to enjoy a walk or sit on the benches.
