Led by a very knowledgeable docent, Kathy,a group of us was told about the history of the Moravians in Bethlehem PA.We were shown artifacts dating back to the 1700's. Later we were taken to the Kememer Museum of Decorative Arts, a National Historic Landmark. It shed light on a religion which we had little knowledge about.

Is a nice museum but small and not as interesting as I thought it would be. If in the area is a good choice to stop for a visit, but would not make special trip to see.

For months I looked forward to visiting this museum. I just moved to the area and I was excited to learn about local history. Yet I walked out...disappointed. It's not that the guide wasn't knowledgeable, it's that it felt like most of what he said I had already read about on the website. My expectations were to hear things like,... More

We had a great guide and she is what made this tour interesting. We were there with friends. The Moravians are a good example of a Religious group that successfully created a community that fulfilled the needs of their members and were able to to also minister to other groups.

Bethlehem Pennsylvania is like stepping back in time. We were there during Musikfest, which was great. However we found out the next day that the historic buildings, including churches and museums, are closed, locked up and you need to call 48 hours in advance and/or make a reservation at The Visitor's Center for a tour. The oppressive heat kept us... More

Didn't know much about Moravian history until I visited the museum. They have it well laid out and it gives you a good sense of how the Moravians got settled in the area.

Took my family to Bethlehem to see where I grew up. So many changes. The Moravian Museum and Kemerer Museums are a must!

Wonderful tour. The tour was about an hour long. This tour is not handicap accessible. It is a very old building, and as expected, the floors are a bit uneven, there are stairs to climb, and the ceilings are low. The guide was informative and interesting.
