We heard on NPR that Mammoth had an incredible snow this year, and I talked a friend into checking it out with me. We had such a blast, although the snow rather loose. Once we were used to the snow, we thoroughly enjoyed the very...More

I haven't done the analysis but I'd bet that my 5-star reviews tilt heavily towards nature and this would be in the top among them. So many great photo opportunities. Clear your cache and make sure you've got enough storage available.

We live in Venice so Mammoth is our home mountain. Great for steep and huge bowl runs (I don't think any North American ski range has so many as Mammoth does, especially at the steep top and especially that are lift accessed). Great people on...More

What a beautiful place in June. Still snowboarding and skiing. Nice views. There are places to eat. Beautiful

Snow in June! Amazing! We definitely got out of the dessert heat. What a way to cool off. There were people still snowboarding and skiing. Snow still on the mountains.

We took the gondola ride. It's a fun ride to the top of the mountain. 12000 feet. It feels amazing to be at that height. Gorgeous views. I wish we knew how to skii or snowboard from that high.

Great weekend. Fantastic memories with my son and 15yo granddaughter. Could not have planned it any better and lodging at Mammoth Mountain Inn was best. Spring skiing at its finest.

Awesome skiing experience for beginners even. A scenic gondola ride for the faint hearted. Quite reasonable at $150 pp. The views from on top of mammoth mountain were breathtaking. Try the mammoth mocha at tusks bar - brandy bailey coffee and hot chocolate.

I was told the ski season goes through July 4th - what are the ski conditions in late June? Is it worth the money for the ski pass?

By April, it will definitely be spring style skiing. The snow will be better on top were the temps remain lower throughout the day and night, and the snow will be likely a 7-Eleven Slurpy at the lower elevations. By June... More

I have stayed at the Westin in the Village. Best place for sure in location. Gondola was working. I have no idea how is the weather in Summer. Enjoy!

Hi! We are looking at planning a April spring skiing trip to Mammoth. What would be the closest major airport? Would we be able to drive to Mammoth from a major airport? How long of a drive? Is there any bus or shuttle services? Thank you!

Try to get a flight to LAX then take the short flight to Mammoth airport. It's very affordable unless you are bringing your own gear-airlines charge a ton for oversized luggage. The cost of the flight is worth the time saved... More
