What an awesome time at Mammoth. The conditions were perfect for all day skiing and snowboarding. Be aware that it may get gusty at the top and visibility can be very poor. You will need a face mask to protect you from the bitter cold. Lift tickets at the mountain are very expensive, about $149 a day for adults. We... More

Stayed at Juniper Springs. Without a doubt the best location at this resort. Heated underground parking, high quality rooms, ski lockers, great staff at front desk, resort shuttle, and, of course, the ability to walk 20 yards to the lift! We are now spoiled and will not stay anywhere else. Book in advance to insure that you can stay at... More

A unique mountain, wonderful runs for all levels of skiers/riders. Great snowboard park for those fearless riders. Fun, helpful staff members. Easy access from numerous parking areas, including a gondola from the Village. "Try before you buy" policy in the rental shops on the mountain. Several slope side lodges for a quick lunch but you pay for the convenience, pack... More

I did not plan this trip, but ended up here, there are many slopes, most of which are very easy going, the snow was perfect and the day sunny and views fantastic. plenty of places to stop & eat / drink but overall very expensive (Twice the price of similar slopes in Switzerland lift tickets, food & drink!)

Great variety of terrain for all skill levels! Deep snow base and not too crowded on the weekdays. Excellent cross-county skiing as well at the Tamarack Ski Center.

Mammoth Mountain is the best ski resort in all of California. The mountain receives tons of snow . . . especially this year! They have well over 30' of snow this season so far. If you love skiing, then this is the place you must check off your bucket list.

If you're a first timer, I highly recommend getting ski lessons! Our instructor Jack was so knowledgable and patient with the adult class. With his guidance in the morning, I was able to ski down the mountain by the afternoon... I impressed myself!

This is an epic ski mountain. No need to ski the same trail for days! With a base at 8,000 feet, snow is a good bet (now that the drought seems to be over). Top is 11,000 I think. There are three locations: main lodge, canyon lodge and eagle lodge as well as a lesser known drop off spot between... More

Mammoth is, well, mammoth. When the whole mountain is open, it can handle huge crowds with ease. When parts are closed (like the entire top of the mountain due to weather, it gets packed at the bottom.
