The 'tour' of Independence Hall consisted of going inside, being taken into the room previously acting as the Court, and having the history of the Court explained. You are taken across the hallway into the old Pennsylvania Assembly room where they explain who sat where...More

You need tickets to be able to enter Independence Hall which we obtained that morning at the Visitor Centre (go early) and we were offered ones with a half hour wait which worked perfectly. Our Ranger, Ray, was superb: Such passion in informing us of...More

We forgot to reserve tickets but went early a.m. for the daily tickets. Our Park Ranger Helen was fantastic. Tour was short but sweet. It is a moving experience to stand in the hall where our Founding Fathers crafted their vision of how a nation...More

Independence Hall is a must see when in Philadelphia. We lined up a little before 5 pm as we didn't have reservations and were in quickly. The guides are knowledgeable and keep the tour moving. It is a quick 10 minute tour but worth the...More

Self-Guided Tour with lots of information to read. I would say the entire exhibit takes about 20-30 minutes with security, self-paced tour and then observing the Liberty Bell at the end. Worth a visit for the great Philadelphia history that lives here.

I know this is an iconic spot in American history - this building is such an important part of who and what we are. But as a destination, it was average at best, and really, a bit of a disappointment. First, the good news -...More

The 30th Street Station is at least 20 blocks from the historic district and would be a long walk. You can take the SEPTA train from the Amtrak 30th street station using the Market/Frankfort line. There are several stops... More
