There is a lot of history in the small museum. If you like money there is a variety of old coins and paper money. It is free and they give you $100 in shredded money.

There is an area of the lobby set aside with interactive exhibits. You do get a bag of shredded money which is fun. If you are interested in banking and how the government influences the banks, this is a good experience. I think kids would have to be at least teens to get the most out of it. It is... More

By all accounts, the Philly Fed is an august institution that together with 12 other Federal Reserve Banks manages macroeconomic elements of our every-day economy in the name of America’s financial stability. The Fed’s Money in Motion Exhibit is very detailed and explains all. For example, did you know that a $1 note is in circulation less than 5 years?... More

Interesting exhibits of money and has interactive trivia/quiz game. Some of the interesting exhibits include colonial currency, very large denomination US bills, and a stack of more than &1 million in $5 dollar bills.

Give it a visit if you are in the area. Very informative, free and you get a free bag of shredded money. Definitely go not just because of the free gift but because it's really interesting.

Walking distance to the Mint. If you want to stop at the Mint, bring your Photo ID for entry. The Fed Exhibit was well worth the stop and free as well. (Well we all pay for it of course!).

This is a tour in the first floor lobby of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. You will learn so much about what bankers look for before approving mortgages, etc. We toured on Friday when the tour is free. This is good for children as well as families. You move at your own pace from one display to another. Before... More

We had kids age 5-13 the tour brings you through the production process. It is pretty amazing to see. It is a quick tour out of the sun or rain. The store at the end is fun to see. The kids enjoyed it and so did the adults.

You stay in the lobby for this short tour. The highlight is a tube full of shredded money, as well as a mocked box of how they ship money from location to location. You are also given a bag of shredded money with roughly $100 within.
