a larger theater for some shows, a smaller one upstairs for more intimate shows. Acting is always good, staging always innovative. Most plays have been excellent, some less so. This is more than a theater. They do outstanding outreach, community work, teaching and camp. Their love for the community and their desire to improve it is something to behold. The... More

The Arden, almost without fail, put on excellent productions with talented actors. I have seen comedy, intense drama, eclectic and artistic productions and musicals. They have all been done exceptionally well. One can see and hear from any seat in the house, and the seats are quite comfortable. In addition, there is always an inventive use of the space and... We have been to the Arden many times over the years, both by ourselves and with our children and grandchildren. Every show we have attended has been sparkling. Adult or children's theater offerings, each one has been memorable. The cast is always spot on and we are always so very impressed with the scenery and how they manage to create... More

My girlfriend and I went and saw Stupid _____ Bird here and it was awesome. Really nice and clean. Seats were comfortable and it was really fun! It was the first play I have ever been too and it was a good place to go.

Terrific blend of new & standard productions never disappoints. Top rate casts in "no bad seats" venue. And they support young artists while providing high school students with opportunity to see live performances. I am always thrilled to watch their expressions of appreciation. Something for everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed The Secret Garden at the Arden Theatre. The production used sophisticated technology which enhanced the production value by the use of a shadow box and a 9 piece orchestra. The 14 cast members were all excellent and the show has been extended an additional week, now closing June 26, 2016. The music and story were both excellent.

Just saw The Secret Garden. What an original staging of the production, an A+ for the set designer. The singing was beautiful as well as the acting. Everyone exuded enthusiasm for being on stage. The show has been extended. Don't miss this opportunity to see it.

My wife and I went for the first time to the Arden Theater see Two Trains Running by August Wilson. It was terrific. The acting was great. The sound, seating and sight lines were great. I would gladly go again when they have another show that interests me. If you are not from Philadelphia, the theater is situated in a... More
