The N Crowd is a short form improv comedy troupe that has been performing weekly in Philadelphia since April 2005. Each hilarious scene starts with a suggestion from the audience. You won't legally have this much fun in 90 minutes for $10. Come out and see what the Philly Style Magazine said was "Philadelphia's premiere improv troupe". Currently, The N Crowd performs at 8 p.m. every Friday at The Actors Center.

Fun night out!

This is an intimate setting - I think I counted 43 or 44 seats - and at a very reasonable price. The show was quite fun and unpredictable. The performers were very quick on their... read more

A very intimate theater creates a setting for a ton of laughs at the NCrowd! It's fast paced, with tons of great improv games. The audience is always lively and ready to participate, and the cast is absolutely amazing, creating a phenomenal show. Definitely a must do if you are visiting Philadelphia on a Friday night!

Small quaint theater with tremendous audience participation. Very quick witted cast. Great place to take a date or to go with friends. Really enjoyed the show and can't wait to go again!

This is an intimate setting - I think I counted 43 or 44 seats - and at a very reasonable price. The show was quite fun and unpredictable. The performers were very quick on their feet to incorporate audience suggestions into constant laughs. They don't currently offer food or beverages on site, but told us we could go to the... More

Brought my 16 year old son to see improv for the first time. We LOVED it. Innovative, funny and not a bunch of cheap scatological humor. Perfect for a date and near good food and drink.

This is a great little improv show in Old City. You really get your money's worth with the NCrowd. The performers really go the extra distance to make sure their audience has a great time, but they never pressure anyone to participate. The performers really seem to love what they do. This show is really well run, and they often... More

A great little local comedy club. Ever seen “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” with Drew Carey? That is exactly what this is, improve comedy. Some pretty funny stuff there, and some not quite as funny. But that’s the joy of it, it’s all brand new. Very small crowd, only seating for about 25-30 people so a very intimate venue. We... More

I was skeptical at first given the price, but a few yuks into the act, I was hooked. The comedy ebbed and flowed from humorous to side splitting. The chemistry between the comedians is great. Add a lively audience and the act really clicks. I particularly liked the game of "ask the experts." The conspiracy theorist had me crying. We... More

improv is hard to do and they have a great cast and show. the audience is key here, so it is best to bring a few people with you to join in. price is very reasonable so no reason not to give it a try

We booked tickets on the internet for the Friday night show, ticket prices were very reasonable. We took a taxi from our hotel to the show. There are no signs hanging up on the building, the neighborhood looked like it was run down a bit. Wasn't sure the taxi driver took us to the right spot. When we exit the... More
