U.S. Christian Commission Museum / Jennie Wade Birthplace home, c. 1820. This is the first museum in America to tell the story of faith and courage from the civil war battlefields by a group of heroes that served the troops with bibles and bandages. The home is period furnished and a period attired guide will take you on a journey with documented accounts and artifacts, that will add to your understanding of the civil war and the battle of Gettysburg. Group Programs Available. Chapel Services on Sunday at 10am. Visit the website for hours and events.

This is not an attraction, but a money scam. They will play on your pity to take your donation. Not worth your time or your dime. I hate to drag a place down, but this is another place that is terrible and not recommended.

Owner gave an overview and history of christian efforts during the war. Interesting to hear different perspective. What side would God take? Leaving that for you to answer.

This museum is a small room located in Johnny Comos Cupcake shop. You wouldn't know it was there if you weren't looking for it, which my husband and I were. The owner John was there and gave us a thorough history of the Christian Commission....More
