Overview
More
See the ENTIRE battlefield at one time and watch the troop movements for ALL three days of battle. The battlefield covers 6,000 acres, an area large enough to be difficult to visualize. The Gettysburg Diorama will put the battle into perspective when you see the ENTIRE battlefield as it appeared in 1863. Carefully researched and meticulously assembled, the Diorama contains over 20,000 hand-painted soldiers, horses, cannons and buildings. Picture the battle through the eyes of Generals Meade and Lee as a narrative unfolds in miniature with a light and sound effects experience you won't forget.

Dioroma was interesting, gave good information. The table is getting old, though. When purchasing a ticket, it also gives entrance to the spirit tour in the basement. That was very interesting, figures moved, characters spoke, guns shooting. Unlike anywhere else we went, enjoyed that!

Excellent orientation to the battle and battlefield in a 12-minute presentation. Reminiscent of the "electric map" that used to be with the National Park Service. Includes Spirits of Gettysburg walk-through attraction (enter separately). Gift shop with variety souvenirs. Walkable from Steinwehr Avenue hotels and near...More

A very extensive diorama. Great display and good film. It seemed slightly pricey, but not prohibitive. We combined the diorama with the Spirits of Gettysburg. Like everything else - the gift shop is the life blood of the business.

This was a well done and helpful museum....especially the diorama which included a presentation that explained the three days of the battle in a chronological and logical format. Since the battlefield is so large it really helped to get a sense of its layout. After...More

This spot was a great introduction to the Battlefields and I would recommend seeing this before going out into the fields as you will much more easily get acclimated.

Steinwehr Ave is where the gift shops, ghost hunts, eateries and tourists traps are located. We bought a three pack and included the Diorama, train museum and a haunted tour thing in the basement of the Diorama building. Obviously, they are all souvenir shops, but...More

The Gettysburg Diorama was a great stop. The narrated show was informative and would be a great learning experience for all. The description of the battle and the events of those days, all displayed in the diorama was something we'll always remember. Well thought out...More
