World class art in a delightful setting. What more could you want? The exhibits are expertly organised and arranged with very informative notes. This is a MUST SEE gallery. The gardens are a little tired. But these apparently are going to be revitalised. There's a little shop too where all kinds of quirky offerings are available. A great place to... More

The Cummer Museum has lovely gardens and some outstanding works of art. We often bring out of town guests here and they are never disappointed.

The first Saturday of every month is free admission to the museum and gardens. Often there are musicians playing in the garden and cafe, and you're free to peruse the museum and gardens at your leisure. Many special events and exhibits rotate through. Tapas Tuesday is a favorite of mine Tuesday evenings. The cafe serves wonderful and tasty food, with... More

Located near downtown Jacksonville the Cummer is a first class museum with very nice gardens. It's not a large museum but they have a good cross section of art in their permanent collection and usually a special exhibit (currently 19th century masterworks from the Dahesh museum of Art). The gardens are well kept and very peaceful. Allow about to hours.... More

Wonderfully done. The exhibits are exquisite. I particularly enjoy the grounds which have proven to be perfect for selfies, a picnic or a beautiful wedding.

The garden has a back drop of the St. Johns River and adds to the beauty of a casual stroll through the gardens. The garden displays a plethora of flora, hardscape, arches with a feeling of being in a private park. There’s a picture worthy to be taken around every stretch of the garden. As we strolled around the garden... More

Any museum needs support, and this is one is a worthy of such. While the location is good, the art is limited and the garden is getting a much needed update. Try to go on Tuesday when free, otherwise the admission price is too high.

Many of the paintings in this museum have been donated from collections all over the world. After spending 1 to 2 hours in the museum, be sure to stroll the gardens that abut the St. John's River.
