Nice outing for younger children

This place is amazing and unfortunately not enough people have heard about it. Great historical information about our region, nice trails to walk and farm animals. Great way to entertain and teach children and adults alike.

We were looking for something with animals for our grandkids (ages 2 and 4) to do on a weekday recently. We didn't want a full day activity like the zoo and the zoo, although very nice, is expensive. So we tried the Tree Hill Nature Center which was a good 45 minute drive from Middleburg where they live. This was... More

Family went this afternoon on probably what will be one of the last days of spring before it starts to heat up. The nature trails are well-shaded. They are very similar to those at Ft. Caroline in which there are some steep -- by Florida standards -- trails. In other words, they aren't flat. There is also a building with... More

I took my two year old son here for a new adventure. We had a good time. It's cheap to get in and there are a few things to do. He enjoyed feeding the goats the most (it costs $1 for a small cup of animal crackers), there's an owl exhibit outside along with a chicken coupe and a small... More

It sounded nice so we drove to the other side of town to see this mini nature preserve. Not much to see. The pathway was strewn with tree limbs and there seemed to be little upkeep. There are city parks that are more accessible and enjoyable.

Went there with my daughter on a field trip. The staff was GREAT! I wish I could remember the Woman who gave the presentation in the amphitheater. She was really great with the kids. I learned a couple of things too. There are many trails to roam. At the pyramid there is a couple of small displays including a touch... More

It is in a bit of a bad part of town. But, once you arrive, you are taken away from all that. The staff does a decent job, but the overall feel of the place is outdated, overgrown and unkept. However, our 8 year old loves this place. The building has plenty of activities to keep young ones busy, including... More

Visited Tree Hill Nature Center for a butterfly release, we enjoyed our visit. Nice walking trails and a few exhibits to take in. We liked it because it was inexpensive and the kids had fun. Needs more parking.
