Been there several times. Rockville is the best. You might expect a rough crowd in downtown Jax but the security is great. Food isn't great but good. If it rains it gets muddy fast.

If going for a concert get there early. Leave the bag to your chair in the car, can't take them in. Coolers welcome, but only with water or soda. That's how they make their money. Would recommend eating before you go, unless you like the standard hamburger/hot dogs.

This place has really gone downhill. I believe they cannot even use the main stage any more due to safety concerns with the cover. This is definitely a place you do not want to be when it rains or within a few days of a good down pour. It's a muddy mess. It's really sad because growing up, it was... More

We came in from the Carolinas for Funkfest 2016 and it did not disappoint. The location was great and easy to navigate. There were plenty of bathrooms to accommodate the large crowd and the lines were never extremely long as expected. Perfect location right on the water!!

Enjoyed a concert at the venue and was pleased overall. Spacious yet not too large, good pathways, bit of shade as well. The areas where the main stages were located however was primarily dirt which was annoying due to the dust and mess but pleased overall.

If you go for nothing else at Metropolitan park, you must go for Welcome to Rockville. This was one of the best experiences ever. Jacksonville has been putting on Rockville since 2011. The staff were exceptional. The crowds were manageable, and never got out of hand. Jax Fire and Rescue and Sheriff's dept. on hand. They are the true rock... More

I have been there for both large and small events. It's always fun. As long as you are not one to pass judgement. My kind of fun and someone else's kind of fun may be different. Respect that !! As long as no one is hurting you, let them have their own fun and don't judge them. They have VIP... More

Great marina near the park and stadium. Happened to be here when the Natural Music Festival was open. We could hear the music on the boat and walked over to take advantage of the food trucks. So that was a bonus. The marina and adjoining park is well lit. Clean restrooms (no showers). Free pump out. Right next to fire... More

This park sits on the water and the view is great. Plenty of great concerts and starry nights viewed here. Clean rest rooms, plenty of parking, food vendors, a great place for families or groups. Something for everyone. This is a great place to meet new friends.

Having been to many concerts there, I highly recommend attending concerts of interest. There is plenty of parking but bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on the ground. If the weather is questionable don't forget the umbrella.
