So much fun seeing all the different films that were filmed in Oregon and the Astoria area. From Kindergarten Cop to the most famous Goonies it is a must stop and see while you are in the Astoria area.

We went to the film museum because our kids love the goonies and they just had to go here. Well it's not worth the $ 15 dollars to see what little movie items they have. I will say the lady who helped use was extremely nice and friendly.

It was raining so hard this weekend that we searched around for a few indoor activities and this was on the bucket list. There's really not very much to see inside this museum. Felt more like a tourist trap. This was a big waste of $5 dollars or in our case $10. Would seriously not recommend this place to friends,... More

So awesome that they put a museum in the jail from The Goonies, I'm not a huge Goonies fan but I like the movie ok and the museum is a lot of fun.

Guess we expected more after being charged the same price as the maritime museum. We were in and out in ten minutes.

If you loved 'The Goonies' movie as a kid or even came to it later in life, then this is the place for you. It's basically where the movie starts as the Fratelli's family breakout one of the sons locked up and now it's the Oregon Film Museum, where you can see the location used and also make your own... Yes this is mostly a Goonies themed museum as the building was used in the opening scenes of the movie. However there are many other movies that were made in the local area that have various props on display (Short Circuit & Kindergarten Cop etc.). There are other displays that are interactive that are based around making films, good one... More

You get to film some fun projects like a car scene with a green screen, a "The Shining" face through holw in the door scenes, and some others. Quite small and kitschy. A bunch of Goonies memorabilia.

Although it is not a super long tour, if you are a fan of Goonies it is a really fun museum to experience. This museum also appeals greatly to filmmakers as there is a whole "shoot-your-own-scene" part to it at the end of the tour. My girlfriend and I played around with the film equipment but didn't really shoot anything... More

It doesn't take much time to tour this very small museum, but there is a film inside that shows all the various movies that have been made in the state or Oregon, and we found that to be very interesting. This old jail was featured in the movie "Goonies", so if you are a fan of that film, you will... More
