We visited the Maryland Science Center on a weekday in early December. We deliberately waited until mid afternoon to ensure the school tours would be over! We had the place to ourselves! What fun we had playing with and learning from the exhibits! We had the place to ourselves! We took advantage of the David Planetarium which offered a very... More

The kids like the dinosaur area (they first went there on a school trip). They like the geophysics/meterorology. The Science Lab was for kids in intermediate grades and offers experience in doing experiments (test for unknowns-acid or base, or find blood types)..The younger one liked the aerodynamics (paper airplanes). Even younger kids like the building with blocks...Lots to do for... More

Yes - we've been back a few times now, and although it's great for kids (especially rainy days).... it's also great for adults.. And we finally hit the "harbor room" - the one that faces out over the Inner Harbor from the second floor; and more of Newton's Room. This room is good for the 3-7 yr olds, as it's... More

My husband and I had heard a LOT about the Science Center. We were not too thrilled with our experience, and especially for the expensive price. It would be GREAT for those with smaller children.

We recently returned to the Maryland Science Center after several years. Our teenage daughters happily spent over 2 hours exploring all the displays. We were surprised at how few visitors there were during Christmas break. It made for a very pleasant visit with no wait time. A few displays were out of order, but the majority were functional. The topics... More

A great place to introduce your family of all ages to basic scientific concepts in a fun hands on environment. If you think you may go more than once, buy a membership as it pays for itself in two visits. Also a little know, fabulous benefit of membership is that your membership will allow you free entry to over 90... More

I go to the inner Harbor a lot, and I have never noticed this place. We were with friends who are members of the Richmond science center and they were able to get free admission here, so we joined them. Within 20 minutes, my 14-year-old told me, "I could spend all day here." We saw an IMAX show and two... More

We took our five year old with cousin and friend for a fun-filled adventure. We made it through maybe half of what the Science Center had to offer and the kids can't wait to go again! Lots of fun for the kids and parents alike :) The location is spectacular! I could really see us making a day out of... More

Bought a family membership for son's family and they use it regularly. Our 2 1/2 yer old grandson dragged us around the museum. He never gets tired of going there. Lots of hands on activities for kids of many ages. The pass gives the ability for guests to go on the same card so when grandparent visit, they can take... More
