My eight year old son has fun using the hands on exhibits. It is a wonderful education experience. The regular events are good, but the special events are a little unorganized. We specifically traveled to the science center for a special event day they were...More

This is a hands-on science center and museum. Everything is interactive. The best part of a visit is the planetarium, the IMAX theatre, and any special exhibit if there is one. Budget plenty of time for this. Weekends are often busy, but it's still worth...More

Visited with my daughters. The science exhibits were educational and fun. We enjoyed the planetarium show very much. We loved the science experiment show about polymer chemistry. Worth seeing. We spent three hours there and didn’t even do the IMAX.

We visit here with our 18 month old and she has a blast! There are tons of interactive exhibits to explore and they don’t feel outdated or busted. There are plenty of self directed things and also places where educators mediate the activities and assist...More

My 7 and 9 year old daughter and son love this place. We have maintained a family membership for several years. The regular exhibits are still holding our interest, but as they have gotten older, we have also appreciated the shed activities and the science...More

The food is good, quick and inexpensive for lunch. There is plenty for both kids and adults to choose from. The grilled chicken and fries are excellent . The noise level is rather high when there are school groups having lunch.

Our family had a great time exploring the Maryland Science Center and found all kids were kept occupied from ages 6 to 14. The bed of nails attraction where one was literally lifted into the air on a bed of nails was the family favorite....More

This place used to be my goto place with my daughter for ages until Baltimore turned into a war zone. The pricing is fair and lots to do. My only problem is that a bullet doesnt care where it goes or who it hits and...More

Spent a few hours here. Many hands on activities, especially for families with children. Went to the optical illusion demonstration that was fun. Also went to two Imax films.

Used Groupon to get a discount. Kids liked the museum, was very crowded. Went to the Planetarium as well.

I went with 2 adults and 1 child and we all enjoyed it. It comes down to how invested are you in participating in all the offerings. I did it all and loved it as much as my 12 year old. There is plenty for adults to do and... More

No, you do not have to buy tickets in advance. I think you can order online if you prefer. There are times when there can be a long line, depending on day and time. Hope this helps you.
