If you love dinosaurs and science this is the place for you and your family. Despite being fairly crowded you never felt stuffed. The exhibits were well thought out and the staff was very knowledgeable. Hopefully the Science Center is due for an update soon...More

This is a really cool place. Unfortunately, a lot of the interactive machines were nonfunctioning! They have blue crabs that are kept in filthy tanks and a couple of them were dead. The only staff members that were friendly was the girl who ran the...More

We were here on a Tuesday afternoon and it was not very crowded so we could enjoy the museum without feeling rushed. Love that there are so many hands-on exhibits!

Great location and a WIDE variety of science for any kids. Everything from dinosaurs to micro biology. Plenty of hands-on things to do as science is presented in a very approachable manner. Well done.

I took my almost 4 year old here today. He had a great time. We spent a lot of time in the Kids Room. That kept him busy for quite a while. We also went to a few other sections of the museum, including the...More

The science renovated and added a new dinosaur wing years back. I just saw it recently- fun. There are multiple floors and lots of things to do for all ages. Since we had to leave after 2hrs., we did not do everything.

We enjoyed this science center. It offers something for everyone -- dinosaurs, lots of hands-on and interactive exhibits, a planetarium (with a very fun operator/narrator), and an IMAX theater. It could use some updating, but don't let that stop you from enjoying it. We went...More

We purchased ours at the door. We didn't check online. There was no wait or bother to get them at the door.
My 3-year old is the kind of kid whose favorite "toy" is everyday electrical devices - vacuums, fans, air pumps, extension cords, etc. Would he enjoy MSC, or should we wait a few years?

Would a 14 year-old and 12 year-old find the Maryland Science Center interesting? I am worried that it is more geared for younger children.

It seems to me that a 4+ year old child simply likes the interactive aspects of the center. They get to play tug-a-war, roll balls, lie on a bed of nails, dig in the sand for fossils, look at the dinosaurs, etc., but they... More
