Lots of beautiful architecture and so many restaurants that I wanted to try, but we were only there for a short bit. Also want to go back and visit the museums. Felt very safe, even at night in most areas. Will return again!

Well beyond the tourist places down towards the harbor, Mt. Vernon offers a different ambiance, quaint and historic. This is a place that needs to be savored, step by step, best in the spring or the fall when the air is not humid or the cold blistering. The seat of many historical residential buildings, right on the square, museums and... More

The Washington Monument. Walters Art Gallery, Baltimore School for the Arts, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, The Center Stage, Peabody Institute, etc etc. Many restaurants of all different cultures. You can spend weeks exploring all there is to do, see, and eat here.

Simply enjoy it, don't have an agenda. Take in the Washington Monument, walk up it if you feel like it (~$7), the small parks around it, the trendy wine bars and brew crafts, the Walter's Art Museum (free) and appreciate the architecture.

Put on your walking shoes because Mt. Vernon will offer many fun and unique sites to visit. Be prepared to walk a lot, but take lots of breaks on some of the many park benches. Visit the Walters, the Washington Monument and the Peabody Library. Enjoy.

There is so much to offer in Mount Vernon from the plethora of historic churches to the Washington Monument to the corner drinkeries and pubs. Something for everyone. Open to all types of people, very diverse. Try Mount Vernon Stable for Ribs or a burger. Great for folks on a budget. Stop in Grand Central for a drink and stay... More

This is a good area to walk around and enjoy the architecture and sites. Thankfully it hasn't been terribly damaged by the recent unrest, but maybe go soon, just to make sure your see it before anyone else gets their hands on it.

Come if you can. The Walters Art Gallery, beautiful park, beautiful Church, beautiful buildings. Not to mention The Peabidy Institue of Music. My favorite is The Washinton Monument, if you are up for it. Two hundred and twenty seven steps to a spectacular view of Baltimore and the harbor.

Lovely area to walk visit/stay and is in close proximity to Inner Harbor attractions. Gem of a neighborhood with the awesome free Walters Museum, free library nearby, monuments, parks, shops and restaurants.
