Really beautiful Cathedral. Please be aware it is an active church. There is an architectural lecture that happens every few hours that is very interesting.

Security guard today was down right hostile. "No one ever told me, No Dogs Allowed!" It's a shame, this was one of the lovely, quirky things that made this landmark really unique.

Attended Mass for couples celebrating 50 and 25 years wedding anniversaries. It is a beautiful church and we always enjoying attending services there.

While waiting for a tour to start and walking around some of the squares in Savannah, my boyfriend an I decided to go into the Cathedral. The building is beautiful on the outside, but when you step inside it is breath-taking. Catholics and non-Catholics alike...More

Make sure to review mass times so that you don't miss entering. They do secure the doors at those times. Also, reconciliation times on Saturday in the confessional where etched in the glass is a depiction of the Bible story of the Prodigal Son.

Religious or not, this building is an architectural treasure. Restored around 2000, the atmosphere is a marvel. It's an active church, so avoid Sunday mornings for sightseeing. They have Christmas ornaments for sale also, featuring the stained glass windows. Peaceful and beautiful.

Well worth a visit - lots of steps to climb up to get in though. It’s free but they welcome donations.

Recommended by friends and also our guide on our tourist trolley, so we made our way back to walk through the church. We were blown away-- simply gorgeous inside... the details and windows were beautiful. Don't miss this church!

I really enjoyed my stop here in the cathedral. It was breathtaking with lovely blue ceiling and stained glass. Visitors were quiet and respectful.

There was a midnight Mass. Residents of Savannah told us that you have to arrive very early as the number of people are attending and late arrives end up standing outside for the Mass.
