Beautiful Ships

A dazzling display of workmanship in miniature ship building. I could spend a day there just studying the rigging. If you are into old wooden sailing ships this is a must see.

I was not looking forward to this, but my girlfriend wanted to go. It actually ended up being pretty interesting. There a lot of model ships. It was very cool inside and nice break from the outside.

but the garden is better. Two steps of one of the main streets and you are in a different, quieter world. I will say this about the Museum staff, they were helpful, funny, and full of information.

Take the time to stroll through this collection of magnificent model ships. The display is beautifully done with excellent information on shipping and it's impact on Savannah.

The gardens are lovely, as is the museum itself, which is a wonderful historic manse. If you have an interest maritime history, and especially historic ships, as I do, you'll love all of the fine ship models here. Well worth a visit! (and a great place for a wedding!)

Wonderful, well-crafted and large ship models give a great history of the Savannah area and its importance to the early economy of the area and the Civil War. It is reasonably priced, has a friendly staff and free parking. Worth a visit if you are at all into tall ships, sea history, American Civil War history, or ship models.

This museum is full of famous ship replicas. My husband and I enjoyed looking at all the amazing scaled ships. I particularly enjoyed the very detailed titanic exhibit. Cute gift shop as well. We only needed 30 minutes to see everything here.

Small, but very nice maritime museum. Mostly models of ships and painting. Really nice old wheelhouse. Worth the trip.

The museum is small, clean, a quick self guided tour. #15 on the trolley hop. The gardens are worth the stop. The had a water problem the day we were there, so we did not see the entire collection.

Not exactly what we expected, but not that bad either. Lots of replica ships and some artifacts. Also had several ships in bottles. Historical house with 3 floors of ships.
