Loved River Street. Great walk along the River. Gift Shops, Restaurants, and Bars. Also, took a Sunset Cruise while we were there.

You can spend the day or an hours walking along the river front. If you have never been pick up a beer or bloody mary and walk around with it!

I’m pretty sure you can find just about anything you’re looking for in the River Street area. Souvenirs, apparel, restaurants, bars, off sale liquor, trolley stop, walking areas, free water taxi and of course, the Savannah River with all its interesting ship traffic.

Maybe if you are around 21 this place would be fun. Lots of bars and cheesy gift shops. There were craft vendors when we were there which was nice but not sure they are there all the time. We did like the open container policy...More

We visited savannah twice this year so far. This nice walk, neat shops, local artist, good restaurants. It's great, not too busy, not too loud!

River Street is very touristy, but it is part of Savannah's past. We took a walk just to see it but it's not our cup of tea.

Visiting the river st area is the highlight of the trip to Savannah. Watching the street performers and the ships going in and out is awesome.

Had a excellent visit with a incredible historic room that had a balcony overlooking River Street. Nothing like a 200 year old hotel on River Street! Friendly staff, clean and convenient with a incredible location.

My wife and I spent a lot of time on River Street while on a trip to Savannah. It is definitely the place you have to go while in Savannah. Lots of shopping and places to eat on River Street.

Since your parents are elderly, like mine, a better restaurant setting would be better...perhaps Joe's Crab Shack. Yes, it's a franchise but it is on the water and you can walk and shop while they sit and wait for you... More

You can park right on River Street. $2 per hour. Free after 8 pm and on Sundays. Parked there last Fri Night no problem. But beware River Street is all cobblestones.

St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah is always a huge disappointment. Too many drunks, too many people from out of town trashing our beautiful city and too many people walking in the parade 👎 Few events in America glorify... More
