Hanging out place for locals and tourists. Small shops and restaurants that surround a large courtyard. Great place for people watching. Live music on most weekends. Highly recommend.

Not far from our hotel. Multiple places to eat, shop, listen to music and people watch. Not as large as I was expecting.

So City Market is another touristy spot. It is two blocks long and mostly a bunch of restaurants and a Wet Willie's. They did have live music which was nice. Overall though, I didn't think it was worth the trip.

There are many shops and places to dine. One evening before dark, there was a guy sitting in the open air playing his guitar and singing. Would recommend stopping here. You can take carriage rides from this location, as well.

It's the market… With tons of vendors… Poured and sad… Mostly outside… All under cover… Lots of baskets being made… I bought a cute little hand made apron with "hey y'all" written on it....a couple nice linen tops .... dishtowels with the rainbow houses.... that's the kind of sell... glad I went :-)

OK. please understand this is just a matter of taste. I am not suggesting that you don't go to City Market area just expect a more touristy experience. I am glad that we went there but didn't spend much time other than a one time stroll. For me other areas of historical significance was more interesting and where i wanted... More

Typical tourist shops and some nice dinning spots. Great people watching while the wife spends money :)

If you visit Savannah you will end up here at least once. There is often live music and plenty of places to find food. The visitor center is nearby.

City Market is full of shops. A fun place to see. Enjoyed trying on hats choosing one for dress and one for fun. There is something for every one to enjoy in the square, young and old.
