Our family met here for a large family gathering and found the wide, spacious fields and shaded groves very inviting and welcoming. The restrooms are not always open, so be prepared to have to leave the park for bathrooms. Other than this, we loved it!

It was a very beautiful park and I would definitely suggest a visit. When we went it was on a Sunday and there was a farmers market that was actually quite nice.

Saw not only the beautiful fountain, but also a grand old tree (across the park from Whitaker), a 'Fragrant Garden,' and beautiful homes that line the perimeter. Just great! Cafe nearby offered a nice respite from the heat, too.

I loved checking out all of the parks in Savannah but Forsyth Park was my favorite. Between the memorial statues, water fountains and fragrant garden, there is so much to see.

This is one of the most beautiful parks that I've seen-the fountain is picturesque as are the live oaks and spanish moss! There is lots of space for kids to play as well as a great playground, plus lots of space for dogs to run....More
