Just been to a wedding here and although the house is very beautiful we were made to feel like we were un wanted guests. The elderly gentleman left in change whilst the wedding was on complained about the guitarist being too loud continually which was...More

I especially liked the original gasoliers that have been electrified and the oculus opening in the main hall. I prefer homes that preserve as much original condition as possible as opposed to those that fully renovate to a particular period, so I really liked this...More

My friend and I really enjoyed our visit. Beautiful home with many original and home owner furnishings. I recommend adding it to your tour list.

We toured the home on a Friday and the docent was exceptional. The tour narrative was not stiff and scripted like some, but rather told as a good fireside story among friends. The home is beautiful and the tour combines the history of the city...More

If I had to pick one house to live in Savannah, this would definetly be among the top three. It faces the square, made of granite, and is such a Southern Classic!

Always helps to have a guide who is interested and interesting. Lots of Washington connections to the house, and made me want to investigate the Order of Cincinnatus.

We were told by an employee that if we were there before 4pm we could get in and see the house, so we rushed on foot across several blocks and got there at 3:45. The man who came to the door said he was giving...More

What a find! Not a house I would have visited normally when going to Savannah, but totally worth it! Found sort of by accident. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the house, it’s history, and Savannah in general. Four stars because of the...More

Bought tickets to see this house on Groupon and it was worth it. Beautiful historic home with a interesting background story. Our tour guide was very friendly, but long winded. Can’t take pictures inside the house.
