The Visitor's Center is easily accessible from the main roads heading into the historic Savannah district and with lots of parking. We also found a convenient location at Ellis Square, next to City Market.

Located where most auto visitors will enter Savannah from the main highways, it is a good first stop. A must if a first time visitor and even worth while if you haven't visited in a while. The Trolley and Old Savannah bus tours leave from here. There is an excellent Savannah history museum in the same building. The bench used... More

The salesperson behind the desk was abrupt and rude. He gave us little options and did not "sell" the package to us very well. It was around 10:30 am and he looks tired and didn't want to be there. He seems in a hurry and didn't give us time to consider the options. I guess he is on commission and... More

When visiting Savannah we usually wind up at the Visitors Center sooner or later, usually sooner. It sometimes seems a little understaffed but if you're patient, everything comes together. It's a good place to begin and end the available trolley tours and historical film is worth watching.

You can buy a tourist visitor's parking pass here which allows you access to city parking lots and extends your time on city parking meters. The Savannah Historical Museum inside the old railroad building has many artifacts, including a copy of Forrest Gump's bench. There is also a gift shop and information center. Many tour buses depart from this parking... More

The Visitor's Center is located in the same place as the Savannah History Museum. And just across from them are Battlefield Park and the Georgia State railroad Museum. Not far from all of that is the Ships of the sea Maritime Museum. Stop at the Visitor's Center and gather the information, maps, tickets, etc., that you need and begin your... More

This place is hopping and full of valuable information. The staff is very friendly and answered all of my questions and those who were ahead of me. The parking lot serves as a starting point for many bus tours and other activities. Wide range of tourist brochures and information. Small concession stand and also a gift/tourist stand. Don't wander around... More

The staff were helpful in starting your visit to Savannah. Lots of literature to help your walk though the town. Be careful of the parking you must be out by 6:00pm or you will get a ticket.

Nice shady place to sit outside waiting for our tour. Inside, typical train station decor with numerous steps to climb to the information hand-out center and poorly kept bathrooms. Pay-for history films along the interior corridor and even less sanitary bathrooms.
