I have lived in Vancouver for 5 years when I discovered Vancouver Lake park. I was shocked how beautiful it was. Great place to have picnics, ride bikes, play frisbee, take a walk or just relax and enjoy the view. I never heard that much about it and was amazed how nice of a facility it is.

I have taken my kayak there a couple times and enjoyed the trip. I always head to the island on the north end. If you want a day trip and sit at the beach, there is a paid area during the summer run by Vancouver Park service. You can bbq and hang out with friends/family. They have bathrooms at this... More

This park provides, on a clear day, the perfect view of 5 mountains: Mt Hood, Mt Adams, Mt Jefferson, Mt Rainier, and Mt St Helens, and is the only place like it. Quiet and serene on most days, all year round. Rowing competitions on some weekends are fascinating to watch, but don't expect to park close. Well maintained, with a... More

.large park, with nets set up for beach volley ball. Fishing from the bank. Large beach area, need to watch kids in the water as it is the river, with current. They need life jackets. A large covered area for family picnics.

I use this park mainly as a parking spot for a very easy bike ride to Fishermans Bar. All path no cars, about 3.5 miles one way to the Columbia river. Last weekend they had a beach vollyball tournament there and was fun to watch. This park is pretty big and can handle weddings etc. the lake is right there... More

Lovely grassy grounds along the lake, sandy beach, shade and sun. We had a nice walk from the lake across to the river at Frenchman's Bar. After reading about the water quality issues I don't think I'll want to swim here, but the walking and atmosphere are great. Admission is free, plenty of parking and restrooms.

Had not visited here in probably 15 years, so took my husband on a day that rain was predicted. It was nearly private and in the regular NW way, there was no rain and it was absolutely beautiful. This is a big, beautiful lake with plenty of great features. There is a swimming area, plenty of picnic tables, lovely areas... More

The trail is very nice and in excellent condition. Too bad it just dead ends. Nice getaway in the woods, great for dogs .

It's a fine park, the sandy beach is great and the restroom facilities are perfectly fine. Lots of grassy area and shade from trees. Water quality is exactly as many state...it is cloudy and the visibility is pretty bad. The setting is stunning, all the mountains are in perfect view on a clear day. It's really beautiful.
