We visited Ulrich's Fossil Gallery on a recent trip to Kemmerer to look for fossils at one of the pay-to-dig quarries. We were warmly greeted and shown around their incredible fossil store. We learned so much about the fossils - it's very museumesque. The specimens they have displayed are incredible. They have fossils for every level of collector and every... More

Stop here on your way through - you won't regret it. The displays are amazing. It is incredible to think about these large fish being here and how they are displayed is great. If you don't have time or energy to dig, they have small fish for a reasonable price and it shows how to prepare them.

We visited the gallery with fossils and were impressed by the wide variety that were there and available for sale. Its a nice place to go and is very close to Fossil Butte National Monument.

The showroom and displays are just amazing. Most of the items on display and / or for sale were of fossil fish, more than likely from the nearby Fossil Butte area, a short drive away. If you are interested in geology and are visiting Fossil Butte National Monument nearby, it is worth a half hour visit. The shop closes at... More

We have been all over Wyoming in the past week, and this was our favorite activity! We found some fossils that we were able to ship home. Our friends had children (and a dog) and brought them along. It was a great time for everyone! We already want to go back! Fossils are pretty awesome.

Our tour guide, Dorothy (or something like that) was awesome! She showed us how to get to the fossils and was just as excited as we were! We absolutely loved doing this!! One thing I didn't understand at the beginning was the quantity of the fossils. I wanted to make sure that we at least got one fossil for the... More

We spent a very enjoyable morning looking for fossils in a quarry a short drive from Ulrich's Fossil Gallery with our helpful guide, Sarah. Equipment was provided & Sarah showed us where to find many fossil fish. Later on, back at the Gallery, she cut away excess rock to make our finds easier to transport home. The Gallery itself had... My two friends and I stopped at Ulrich's Fossil Gallery for their fossil 'mining' in June 2015. We had a ball. A young lady was our guide and she could not have been more helpful and courteous. All three of us had a ball learning to 'unearth' fossils! Though I can now scratch fossil hunting off my bucket list, I... More

The staff was really friendly and attentive, recommending other places to look if you were having problems finding anything. The fish are extremely delicate.
