It was a free walk about and not open, but we still found it very enjoyable and interesting to see. I would go back another time.

I admit the place is a tourist trap but us locals like it. Every city needs one. There are interesting attractions and the old time show at the Palace theater is well worth it.

The park is beautiful in the snow without a doubt but for us, the Bear Gallery was the destination to find local artists works and rub elbows with them as well.

Pioneer Park has a fun Railroad that you can ride. Many old buildings which have been moved from other places to the park and info about each building. The highlight of the Park for our group was the Air Museum.

The salmon bake is very good. Plenty of opportunity to walk off the large meal along the Chena river or rent a canoe for a nice time paddling up or down river on this slow moving water way.

I love Pioneer Park and I always insist we make a stop there when I visit! I have made a handful of friends while there! Some staff and some, just others who are wandering park! The workers are all friendly and happy to talk with you and the shops are too cute!

Over the course of our five visits to Fairbanks we have many diverse experiences within Pioneer Park. Our favourite would be the day spent on the 4th of July .The Music the parades even the dogs were sporting the Nations bandanas! .There was the International Friendship day. .The original heritage cottages transported from downtown make for such a unique place.

Really enjoyed our afternoon at Pioneer Park. Some very interesting exhibitions. A couple of nice trinket shops. Ate at the Salmon Bake and even caught a show (which was fantastic). Would definitely recommend a visit

You can learn about history, art & culture as well as shop & eat. Children will enjoy the train ride and playground. You can park your RV here for a small fee for the night.
