very informative. loved the cut out sections of the pipe you could get up close to and the displays were interesting.

Very interesting. Glad I stopped by, however it's just a pipe. Their are several information type billboards explaining the construction and upkeep of the Alaska pipeline. It took us about 15 minutes to get here from The Hampton inn.

Very much enjoyed the display and seeing the pipeline above ground. The Retired Pig and Current Pig exhibits were neat.

We took the short drive from Fairbanks to this site and got to see the pipeline in person. We also had a little fun with the "pig" display. Neat to check out.

This pipeline was a feat of engineering excellence.....if they did it today they would do the same design. Interesting to see how the adapted the line to the extreme conditions thrown at them by mother nature!

24/7. It's on a pullout off the Steese Hwy, north of Fairbanks. Park your car, walk across a small bridge & there is the pipeline, along with signs that explain the history, etc. Can be seen from the road & accessed all... More
