I disagree with the "quaint" review as I found it very depressing. Boarded up storefronts and windows, housing authority apartments, someone passed out on the trail by the river, etc. I would not waste my time.

With so much space and nice people, one would expect that Fairbanks would have more things for families! Not the case! Not many options... if I lived here This would be something good to create because it is lacking

Too far to walk. It's about 4 miles. And from what I remember the hotel is very isolated with nothing around it.

I did not see any free shuttles. Taxi's were reasonable. Its not a big area. Maybe walk one way and taxi the other.
