Very nice find in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. This 200 year old farmhouse was relocated to Prospect Park and is very interesting! The guide will give you a good history of the once working farm. Good for all!

Lefferts house is a farmhouse over 200 years old that was relocated to Prospect Park. Outside were old fashioned games. We wouldn't have noticed them but the young man working there was so friendly and invited us to play that we did and ended up having an enjoyable time. We wanted to see a different aspect of New York and took the subway to Prospect Park, a good trip, a good walk and a great welcome from the great staff at Lefferts. It is a lovely building, lovingly preserved and designed to help children appreciate their history, with interesting information in the surrounding garden before you go inside. Upstairs... More

What a wonderful museum! A young man gave us the tour and his enthusiasm for Brooklyn history brought this lovely house to life. Check out the tour times and try to catch one - if it's not busy, a tour might be provided if you ask, so you can access the 2nd floor - so very interesting. Enjoyed our time... More

Lefferts has some great resources and the knowledgeable staff is very eager to help and answer any questions you have. Worth a trip to if you're in the neighborhood.
