There was a lot of work, looked like upgrades, improvements, going on. We had the good fortune of being there with a local who was able to explain the development and direction of the facilities. Highly recommend a tour or a local guide to really get the meaning and intent.

A quiet oasis in the middle of Brooklyn. as you have to pay most of the day, go when you have time to enjoy it.

The BBG is an excellent 6 acre garden. It is great for 1-2 hour stroll. The Japanese garden, espaliers, and conservatory are especially noteworthy. The garden is very convenient to public transportation and worth a visit, especially if you're visiting Brooklyn.

It was a beautiful day outside so we decided to pop over to Brooklyn and visit their botanical gardens. We didn't expect how wonderful it was after visiting the NY Botanic gardens several days before. But Brooklyn really outdid themselves. So beautiful and their was great educational info everywhere you turned. A must for any family.

By far, The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has the most fabulous Japanese garden, particularly in the late spring. There is also a marvelous children's interactive garden. Peaceful and serene, absolutely worth a visit.

Having been to most of the main NYC sights and attractions we wanted to branch out on this trip, so BBG was on the list. We took the Metro to Prospect Park, then walked through (it is quite big and very nice) to BBG. It was a great place to visit, with so much to see, we spent hours there... More

The Brooklyn Botanical gardens are nice and would be better visited in the spring, summer and fall. The inside doesn't offer as much as the Botanical Gardens in the Bronx but the outside on a nice day would be worth visiting.

I enter before noon on Saturday because it's free! Beautiful grounds, especially the Japanese gardens. I usually plan a sexy picnic with wine and cheese with comfy blankets and pillows. I would recommend the visit.

I was initially hesitant to trek out here from Manhattan, but it was one of the most beautiful places I've been to in the city. For the first time, I felt like I wasn't in a city. It's calm, serene, and worth a trip in any season.
