I was initially hesitant to trek out here from Manhattan, but it was one of the most beautiful places I've been to in the city. For the first time, I felt like I wasn't in a city. It's calm, serene, and worth a trip in any season.

Extensive grounds with above average collection of trees, shrubs, plants and flowers. Conservatory buildings with their controlled environments bring you fascinating and colorful plants jam packed into the various climates the specific conservatory building supports. Particularly nice vantage point overlooking the entire acreage on the north side of the Garden, behind the Brooklyn Museum of Art

Not big into plants and gardens but do appreciate the balance between the concrete nature of the "built environment" and the beauty and solitude of the park - first time in Brooklyn in years and this gave a wonderful perspective of balance.

There are incredibly nice landscapes but if you aren't plant lover don't waste your time there, I mean, it's an amazing plan for someone who loves a natural environment.

I went in summer so the flowers in general weren't blooming but it was beautiful! There was a ton of information with each set of plants and the place is huge. You could easily spend a day here. My favorites were the giant greenhouses that housed tropical plants, cacti and some other zones. I don't recommend this trip on a... More

I've Ben taking my daughter to the botanical gardens since she was born, and it never gets old. The indoor exhibits are great when the weather isn't.

The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, much like Central Park, are a welcomed escape from the noise and sounds of the sprawling NYC metro area. It's quite expansive and offers an awesome diversity of plant life. Our favorite parts included the Japanese Garden which is very scenic and pretty, even in fall. The conservatory was also very well done, we learned a... More

My wife's cousin's son got married in the gardens. The ceremony was held at a beautiful section of the gardens. The reception was held in the Palm House right on the premises. That area was beautiful with fountains and reflecting pools. The catering service was outstanding.
