Close to Manhattan in many movies. Lots of lovely row houses, restaurants and little shops. Close to the Promanade overlooking Manhattan. An enjoyable walking day.

Nice oldie movie house in a nice location. I wanted to see a particular movie and this was where I was directed. A little far from my house, but an easy drive. A small entrance or lobby area accommodates the concession area and restroom. The...More

Lovely streets lined with row houses and small apartment buildings and lots of trees. Great restaurants and cafes. Like what the West Village used to be before all the high end stuff rolled in.

Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Carroll Park - all worth including on your exploration of old South Brooklyn. Rapidly gentrifying before your eyes. You can do worse than allocate 3 hours of your tour time to this area.

I grew up here. Although the area has changed it changed for the better. From a border line slum-working class area to a really great area . All the shops and stores ,brownstones and homes make this a really great area.

This area is more upscale than many in Brooklyn. Residents appear to take pride in their homes. There are mainly family owned businesses which include small shops, restaurants, and bakeries. The area seems a little more congested due to narrower streets but that is most...More
