East River Ferry is now part of the NYC transportation network. Tickets are $2.75. Stops along Brooklyn and Manhattan shores. Nice alternate to cabs and great views of the city.

Taking the ferry from Brooklyn to Pier 11/Wall Street was a treat! Workers were polite. The ferry was clean, air conditioned, fast, and offered good views of lower Manhattan. There was no seating on an upper deck.

I got the ferry to Williamsburg, Brooklyn from E34/36th Street landing on the East River. It runs frequently - appx every :30mins for only $2.75 e/w. It was a fantastic :20min ride on a glorious sunny day. Great take!
