Dumbo, an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It encompasses two sections: one located between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges, which connect Brooklyn to Manhattan across the East River, and another that continues east from the Manhattan Bridge to the Vinegar Hill area.

A short subway trip from Manhattan takes you to DUMBO and the fashionable cafes , shops and restaurants in the old warehouse district , the views of Manhattan and the bridges are well worth the trip .

Fantastic. Great views of Manhattan. A great example of how to regenerate a once industrial and derelict area. The ferry was a fabulous way to get across to Manhattan, take in the sights and get some good photos and so cheap, amazing.

If you walk over the bridge you follow it to your left down some steps then left at the bottom of the steps and keep going straight on you will soon see it

There are just so many things to do in Manhattan as a tourist may I suggest that you visit Harlem and go to Sylvia's Restaurant for some nice soul food and a few blocks away is the Schomburg Library
