This is a beautiful lake viewed from a moderate hike, but the views are phenomenal. Really worthwhile.

This is a moderate hike due to all of the stairs and a decent elevation gain. Unreal views and a must do. Parking in Logan pass is a challenge.

Great Hike from Logan's Pass - not to be missed. Parking is a challenge but the hike to the Lake is worth it.

My fiance proposed to me on this trail it now has a very special place in my heart. The hike is steep (both ways) but the views from the overlook and at the lake are other-worldly.

Going to Logan‘s pass and doing the hidden Lake Trail is something that should not be missed in glacier national Park. It’s breathtakingly beautiful. We saw a lot of wildlife, mostly ground squirrels and marmots, but also some mountain goats. I heard other people saying that they saw some big horned sheep. If you go all the way down to the lake, it is definitely worth a hike. The lake is beautiful and still. It is also very clear. My son swam in it for a while. There is such a beautiful scenery, and a lot of wildflowers.

Not sure why people mark it that high, as there are many other (nicer) spots in Glacier. First of all you need to find a parking spot at Logan Pass (good luck in the summer); we parked about 1/2 mile further down the road. When I have to walk on a wooden staircase etc., I do not call it a hike or true nature; but for those who can walk not that good it is a nice spot. Way too many people. Nice lake, do not underestimate the distance and elevation gain.

Starting with a simple boardwalk that seemed to go on forever (complete with marmot comic relief), followed by a simple hike up and down, then a clear lake emerges through the clouds. Don't be fooled! You probably won't see how big that hidden lake is! A dip helps to cool off before the steep hike back to the boardwalk. Fun and adventure for all.

The up tick in attendance is most visible at the Logan Pass visitor center and the Hidden Lake trail. The trail now looks like a trail of ants making their way from the parking lot to the viewing location. The actual view is really nice. When we visited the rest of the trail was closed due to grizzly activity. The trail with worth the climb to see the lake, just don't expect solitude. Also, with the new park Going To The Sun road pass system, folks come into the park between 5 and 6am (before the deadline) and the Logan Pass parking lot fills as early as 6:30am. On the trail you can often spot Big Horn Sheep and Mountain Goats near the top of the hill on the right.

Fantastic drive up and plenty of places to stop and take in the beauty! It was extremely hot at 6600 ft. There was a bit of snow still on the ground and so we cooled down just laying in the snow.

Unfortunately, the Hidden Lake Trail was closed on 7/4/21 due to a mana bear and cubs seen on the trail. The visitor center area was nice.
